Reference

Give me an honest verdict.

A reference carries more weight than any self-description. If you have worked with me, I ask you for your verdict, including the uncomfortable one. It is exactly what my next clients expect from you, and the same I expect from myself.

I have a code from the printed sheet

The six characters at the bottom of the sheet, for example JV6-5CM. Case and the hyphen do not matter.

About the engagement

Please correct anything that is wrong.

Your assessment

Six questions, one click each. The scale deliberately has no middle.

Candour *

Were uncomfortable things raised, such as risks, misjudgements or bad news, early enough that something could still be changed?

Impact in the room *

Did papers and appearances in steering committees or the board land such that a decision followed, rather than a postponement?

Grip under pressure *

How did the steering hold up when things got tight: deadlines, escalation, resistance from the business?

Depth of expertise *

Did the subject-matter grasp go beyond presentation level, down to where your people work?

Reliability *

Promised is delivered: deadlines, input, replies, without having to chase?

A handover that holds *

What remained afterwards: could your people carry on without having to call again?

In your own words

Optional. One sentence is enough, including for the third question.

What I may use

Without a tick, your answer stays internal.
